Writing a unit of work for a new text can be daunting! The choices and decisions that have to be made can seem endless, but so can the possibilities. This course will help you to narrow these choices and decisions and follow a step-by-step process to make sure you utilise your chosen text most effectively.

Learning outcomes:

  • Identify strategies to assist in using a mentor text
  • Understand how to use a mentor text to meet the needs of your students 
  • Use a mentor text to write a unit of work
