LIVE WEBINAR: Coding Animated Narratives
Len Unsworth
45 minutes
23 JULY 2024
Webinar
Get an eye-opening look inside PETAA’s new reference text, Coding animated narratives: Classroom practices for developing digital multimodal authoring!
Author Len Unsworth will show you how teachers with no coding experience can use a free platform like Scratch (a coding and animation software for children) to bridge traditional literacy with digital fluency.
He’ll walk you through how you can engage students with narrative storytelling through creating interactive stories, animations, and games. In the book, and in this webinar, he’ll explore how you can address not just the Australian Curriculum’s requirements for students using a range of software to compose increasingly complex print, visual and multimodal texts – but also engage students with English and literacy outcomes using the formats and languages they’re using in their leisure time outside of school.
You'll see coding and animation in action, gain new insights into this new book, and gain confidence in exploring these topics in the classroom!
