ONLINE: You're teaching Kindergarten? Part 2 - Reading
20 March - 10 April 2023
Online moderated course
Most Kindergarten children arrive on their first day at school thinking that they’ll learn how to read…so, let’s send them home on that first day as enthusiastic readers. This part of the trilogy will explore how we can help children think of themselves as readers right from the start.
- Examine what is required at this stage of a child's development, and how they best learn.
- Focus on routines and activities that support children's literacy learning and that encourage teachers to become kid-watchers.
Who should participate?
- Foundation/ Kindergarten teachers
