Multimodal & Digital Texts
Multimodal texts are texts that use more than one semiotic system (linguistic, visual, audio, gestural, spatial) to convey meaning. They can be delivered in a wide variety of mediums: via paper, digital, electronic, or live (face-to-face) technologies, and in formats such as books, letters, diaries, plays, oral presentations, websites, film, social media or apps. Digital Texts are electronic versions of a written text. They can be found on the internet, on a computer or on a variety of hand-held electronic devices.
