50th Anniversary Celebration Drinks, Dinner and Awards night

Celebrate PETAA's 50th birthday with us! Join us for drinks after the conference or come for the dinner and the awards too!  Both will be held at The University of Sydney, and our Anniversary Dinner and Awards night guest speaker will be Jane Caro!

Why Celebrate?

50 years is significant! PETAA is a leading association for primary educators in Australia, and one of the largest. First formed in 1972, we have built from humble beginnings to become a trusted source of resources, reference texts, professional development courses, and more. In the past 50 years, PETAA has grown and changed significantly, but one thing that hasn’t changed is our advocacy and professional support for teachers!

Why should you attend?

Celebrate with good food, great wine and excellent company. The inaugural PETAA Awards for Excellence in Primary English Teaching will be presented and you will be able to mingle with respected and well known experts across all aspects of English and literacies.

Who should attend?

Past and present classroom teachers and school leaders,  PETAA presenters and authors, academics and friends of PETAA from far and wide. Everyone with a past, present or potential connection with PETAA is welcome to celebrate this exciting event.

About our guest speaker: Jane Caro AM is a Walkley Award winning Australian columnist, author, novelist, broadcaster, documentary maker, feminist and social commentator. She spent 35 years as an award winning copywriter and 7 years teaching Advertising Creative in the School of Communication Arts at Western Sydney University.
