Online unmoderated course

This course provides teachers with instructional routines for teaching the grammatical concepts of narratives in writing lessons. Grammar is a resource for making meaning in texts and students should be taught how authors’ use of grammar shapes meaning and narrative effect. The grammar applied in this course extends the grammar-for-writing approach to explicitly teach the way authors think about narrative scenes.

Elevate your teaching with strategies for the explicit teaching of grammar and the processes authors go through to craft effective stories.
