Classrooms of Possibility: Supporting at-risk EAL students draws together recent work from a number of researchers and educators who have focused on the needs and challenges of at-risk English as an Additional Language (EAL) students, including those from refugee backgrounds, and EAL students who have had minimal or disrupted schooling prior to arriving in Australia.

The book has three main aims:
