In Turn-around Pedagogies: Literacy interventions for at-risk students, teachers recount how they were able to change or turn around the performance of reluctant readers and writers in the classroom and, in doing so, reflect upon their own practices. Case studies illustrate how teachers implemented practical ideas and strategies for working with reluctant readers and writers, and embraced students’ interest in new technologies, rekindling their interest in classroom literacy activities.
