Drama & Storytelling

The role of drama in the primary classroom is multi-faceted. Dramatic play can be used as part of play-based learning, supporting vocabulary development, a student’s understanding of audience, purpose and context, and to inspire creativity – to name just a few possibilities. Drama is an art form, a body of knowledge and a strategy for teaching and learning.
