School-based Professional Learning

PETAA’s purpose is to build the knowledge, capacity and resources of your school to create confident, skilled, best-practice educators in the area of language, literature, and literacy — the three interrelated strands of the Australian Curriculum: English.

PL session in school libraryOne way in which we do this is through working collaboratively with your school to design workshops and courses tailored to your particular school context:

  • to suit the needs and priorities of your teachers and students
  • just for your staff, or for a community of schools
  • in a variety of formats- staff meeting presentations, half day workshops, full day professional learning, and or as an ongoing series of school-based workshops or mentoring
  • in different modes — face-to-face, online or hybrid courses available
  • as part of a resources and professional learning package

PETAA experts cover a wide range of topics on all aspects of Language, Literacy and Literature.
