Text and Literature Focused Courses

Texts are central to the study of English and are used for a range of purposes. They can be written, spoken, visual, multimodal, and in print or digital/online forms. Students learn through texts, developing their reading and viewing skills, using texts as models for writing and creating. 

These PETAA courses examine effective imaginative and critical engagement with a range of high-quality literature as a vital part of student learning in the English classroom, and guide teachers through best-practice use of texts in the classroom.
