Noun Groups at Play

In this mini workshop, the first of a series of related workshops, participants will develop knowledge and skill in teaching:

       
  1. adjectives and adjectival phrases and clauses for descriptive writing (Writers at play)
    2.    
  2. the metalanguage of noun groups (Clause or Phrase?)
    3.    
  3. an approach to reading comprehension (Noun Groups in action)
    4.    
  4. a way to plan for writing information texts (Make your own Noun Group)

Participants will have opportunities to interact during the workshop (as they develop their own sentences and groups) and to ask questions.

 The workshop will include short voiced-over PPTs, lesson presentation, and opportunities for discussion and presentation.
