At the PETAA 50th Anniversary celebration drinks, dinner and awards night, we celebrated 50 years of supporting teachers in delivering a meaningful English education to their students.
In recognition of this important milestone, we put together a video exploring the last 50 years of PETAA, and of primary English and literacy in Australia. From key changes to education in Australia to the publication of landmark texts for children and beyond, this short video charts the landscape of PETAA, and the teachers we're so proud to serve.
It also includes special birthday messages from Pauline Jones (PETAA Board President), Susanne Gervay (children's author, educator, and advocate), Dr Brian Cambourne (legendary literacy researcher), and Dr Helen Adam (children's literacy researcher, PETAA Board Director)!
