Writing is a critical literacy skill, arguably more so now in the current era than ever before. In this interactive online course, you will explore rationales for continuing to teach handwriting, as well as the keyboarding skills necessary for writing on a computer.  You will unpack contemporary research supporting the teaching of handwriting and keyboarding (much of which comes from outside the field of education), as well as learn strategies for teaching and assessing handwriting and keyboarding in the primary classroom.
