Brainstorming ideas

Australian Curriculum: English sub-strand: Literacy — Interpreting, analysing, evaluating

Brainstorm ideas about how Becky’s cousin overcame his fear of the deep end. How did he feel? Who else was with him? Which swimming group was he in? What did he do to get over his fear?

Students will: Draw on real life experience and interpretation of text to discuss different characters and predict how they would have felt.
