Play-based learning is seeing a resurgence in the classroom and is especially beneficial with literacy and language learning. This practical course will provide teachers with a range of strategies to plan for, scaffold and assess play-based language and literacy learning.
Why participate?
- Learn practical strategies including language and literacy-enriched dramatic play, readers’ theatre, puppetry, story re-enactment the creative arts.
- Examine the role of teachers in advocating for play-based learning with families and the broader community.

- K–2 classroom teachers
- Classroom teachers in early childhood education, pre-schools and care settings
- EAL/D teachers with students across the primary grades.
